Mydex CIC helps individuals and service providers improve their handling of personal data.

Their Personal Data Stores equip individuals with tools to collect, store, use and share their data to manage their lives better.

They also help service providers within governments, local councils and communities reduce data processing costs, improve service and innovate .

The Challenge

Pitching and presenting are a regular activity for many of the Mydex CIC team. Both face to face and online to small and large groups. I first worked with David Alexander, Chief Executive of Mydex CIC during the CivTech 3.0 programme where he presented Mydex’s solution to a public sector challenge at Demo Day on stage in front of 700 people.

Having experienced the benefits of both group and 1-1 sessions with me, in 2020 we set up 1-1 programmes, delivered via Zoom, for many of his externally facing team.

The goal was to help hone their articulation of Mydex CIC misson and services and ensure consistency across the team on messaging, clarity and confident delivery across all of the projects they work on.

The content of these programmes included all aspects of delivery and using natural style, presentation strategy, an efficient preparation process, content structure and handling questions in a structured, concise manner.

We continued to work together on specific pitches they had for new work ensuring the team presenting were well prepared and feeling confident each time.

Once our new Online Presentation Skills course launched, David was one of our first clients to buy it.
