Reflection is essential before effectively planning for the future and as I look back over 2022 and what we as a business achieved, I feel proud, motivated and excited about what 2023 has in store.
We had a busy year behind the scenes improving our digital platforms with a website overhaul and the launch of our off-the-shelf eLearning course The Agile Speaker®. This course is a critical extension to our offering – giving you 24/7 access to our advice, strategies and techniques. A presentation coach in your pocket!
The course takes clients through step-by-step lessons elevating their communication and presentation skills from average to amazing. And our state-of-the-art app means users have access to all of the resources and lessons that come within the course, wherever they are, whenever they need them. Clients have been using the app en route to interviews, or as refreshers before a big presentation. Having easy access for reflection has been a game changer and we are excited to see The Agile Speaker continue to help people deliver at their best throughout 2023.
Our podcast continues to grow its reach, now in its 4th season, it was our most successful series yet with nearly 1,000 downloads last year.
Aligning our digital offer to reflect the quality of our teaching and ensure it is accessible and affordable has been so important to me and I’m delighted we achieved this goal in 2022. However, the real results of what I do can be seen in the successes of my clients.
One of the highlights of the year was completing delivery of the Scottish Enterprise ‘Pitching to VCs’ programme. A 3 year contract where I coached 22 management teams, all on the road to raising investment. To date, 7 of those companies have raised over £15 million between them – and counting. This amazing result demonstrates the difference expert training in communication and presenting can make to your business.
Looking forward to 2023 and there’s lots going on, including some new programmes being launched with a focus on ensuring teams are considering the overall experience their clients receive when interacting with any part of the business. We’ve noticed a worrying trend emerging – a lack of good communication between businesses and their clients – whether this is hiding behind email or relying on Zoom too heavily. Every interaction you have with your clients and customers is vital. Our training will empower teams to build trust, rapport and relationships with their clients, remain in control in meetings and feel confident in handling their clients through their entire relationship with the company.
Look out for updates in the coming months about more exciting new projects – and here’s to a successful 2023 for all.
