When diaries are packed and deadlines are piling up, presentations can easily become a last-minute scramble. But recently I saw first-hand how even a small amount of protected preparation time can transform the quality of a speech.

When preparation gets pushed aside

When a pitch or presentation is looming, most of us know we should prepare early. But knowing and doing are very different things…
Recently I worked with a client who is juggling multiple projects, priorities and deadlines – spinning a lot of plates! It would have been very easy for his upcoming speech at a company event to slip down the list and become a last-minute job.

Because we already had time booked in the diary, we were able to focus and create something rare: space.

Space to think clearly.
Space to step back from the noise.
Space for an objective perspective.

That space changed everything. With fresh eyes on the content, the direction of his speech changed significantly. It became clearer, more focused, and far more impactful.

Why accountability matters

It reminded me of fitting exercise into our busy lives.

We can train on our own… We might get some results…

But consistency, focus, and progress are much harder without structure and accountability. If you have a personal trainer there to support you along the way, you’ll be much more successful in achieving your goals.

Preparing for a pitch or presentation is no different.

I can help you:

  • save time
  • streamline your thinking
  • be organised and focused
  • and show up with clarity and confidence

If you’ve got a pitch, presentation or speech coming up, don’t leave it to the margins of an already busy diary. Please get in touch to discuss how I can support you.

Your future self (and your audience) will thank you.
