Public speaking coaching
Learn how to speak with confidence and authenticity in front of strangers, colleagues and peers.

Improve your public speaking skills
Does public speaking fill you with dread? Does your heart start racing at the thought of delivering a speech or presentation? You’re not alone. Many of us admit to feeling fearful about speaking in public. When all eyes are on you, it’s easy to lose your nerve. But the ability to speak confidently in front of others can have a major impact on our professional and personal lives.
The good news is you don’t need confidence to be a strong communicator. Or rather, you don’t need to feel confident in order to project confidence. There are many steps you can take to conquer your nerves, improve your skills and come across as a self-assured speaker. And, with a little practice, confidence will come naturally.
Public speaking coaching teaches you how to structure your thoughts, develop a relaxed speaking style and articulate yourself the way you want to. Whether you’re totally petrified by the idea of public speaking or you’re just a little rusty, we’ll help you make significant progress. After working with the Maryanne Johnston team, you should feel much less daunted by the prospect of addressing all manner of audiences.

The depth of understanding of public speaking is what sets Maryanne apart. She helped us to understand and reshape our communication in a way that has already led to some great feedback and that we know will serve us well for the future.
Prof Michael Crichton
Founder, Tissue Metrics
I have always struggled with confidence and public speaking and had started to believe believe that this was one hurdle I would not be able to jump. Reflecting upon my sessions, I have been suitably armed with tools and techniques to deliver presentations and insight into how to prepare material that can be adjusted to suit different audiences. Maryanne strikes up a great understanding and relationship with her cohorts in order to understand the underlying issues and best tailor a programme to suit.

How is public speaking coaching structured?
All of our support options are completely tailored to your requirements. Before we get started, we’ll discuss the goals you hope to achieve and where you need most support.
After that, we’ll recommend a series of around four to six sessions, depending on your needs. Coaching sessions last around two hours each, and are ideally held at weekly intervals to give you enough time to put your learnings into practice.
Coaching can be delivered in-person or online in a one-to-one or small group setting.
